Jewel-like colours of turquoise blue, red and deep purple along with warm coral tones and a hit of vibrant orange. This Traces 3 abstract print with it’s bold geometric, angular forms and architectural influences combines textured layers, pattern and lines as a base for the strong composition.

The Traces series of prints, of which there are four, have been inspired by Michelle's process of printing her textile artworks.

During her print process of cutting stencils, drawing and tracing she is left with a stack of newsprint stencils and drawn lines on tracing paper. Layered up, these drawings and cutouts form their own abstract design. A combination of these images along with Michelle's photographs from her observations are combined with her strong use of colour and shapes.
