With a colour palette of orange, blues and pink, Young Vic Series: No 1 is a bold graphic, geometric print and one in a series of four unique artworks, inspired by the architecture and interior space of the Young Vic Theatre in London. Strong diagonals passing over and under each other combine with architectural details and transparent layers.

This series of four artworks were originally shown as part of an exhibition at the National Theatre in London and were one of thirty artworks included in a book by Buro Four for the Thirty for Thirty project. The project celebrated thirty years of their architectural practise and thirty artists were selected to respond to one of thirty architectural projects they had worked on over the years.

Hand-printed by Michelle, with dyes and pigments on cotton and linen in two sections, that have then been carefully joined together by stitching. This one-off artwork is stretched over a wooden frame.
